"Uh-oh," thought Lily, as Momma approached her with a black tutu and a Valentine scarf.
"Sit, girl." said Momma. Then came the hard part- attempting to get that tutu beyond Lily's front paws. Pappa had to help, but after some effort there it was, fitting snugly, on Lily's back. Next came the scarf- much easier than the tutu.
Lily just sat quietly, not protesting, looking at her folks with her big brown eyes full of love, like always.
Snow had fallen, one of Lily's favorite things, and she loved jumping up as Pappa waved a treat. She was a perfect subject- even on that pink chair which was really too small for such a big dog.
Lily hopes everyone has a Valentine's Day full of LOVE- the kind she gives to her family unconditionally, every day.
