It has become quite common for Lily to join her family at the dining room table for conversation if there is an empty chair available. Today the table has been set with special Christmas dishes for the family's Sunday afternoon meal, and seeing an opportunity she took it.... sitting at the head of the table. Now Lily thinks her dinner should be served early- and on the special dishes too.
She promises to have good manners and not slobber too much on the nice tablecloth.
